On Monday September 10 and immediately after the finale where Hannahlei Cabanilla was named America’s Favorite Dancer, I had the chance to catch up with So You Think You Can Dance finalist Slavik Pustovoytov.
We discussed a variety of subjects and I opened the interview by asking him why the girls seemed to dominate this season. We discussed his relationship with Fik-Shun and how the former winner has served as a mentor to the budding b-boy dancer. I asked him how hard it was to learn all of the formal ballroom dancing styles with his street dancing background. Finally Slavik told me more about his instant connection with Genessy.
