Welcome to the column where we talk about something new that is hitting the big screen. Comic booky of course.
So yeah VENOM. I am pretty sure we all know about it. Don’t we?
First, Venom . Just some basics to enjoy the film.
Venom is made up of a symbiote and human host. The symbiote is from outer space. It first actually attached to Spider-man, but then had many hosts, but the most prominent one and the guy in the movie is Eddie Brock.
So what powers does he have? Basically all of Spider-man and maybe a bit stronger. He has some weaknesses like fire and sSonics. He is also much more scary than Spider-man.
Venom is traditionally an Amazing Spider-man villian. He is most popular for that. He appeared in the Spider-man 3 movie if you remember.
So, yeah that is all you need to know about Venom to basically enjoy the film
Venom is popular. I have to say I am a bit apprehensive about this film as a whole and I have been from the start. Actor Tom Hardy as Venom was a major get. That is one of the biggest things it has in its favour.
Venom is popular enough to hold his own film. I also think they could have waited and set it up with Spider-man before going solo. The PG 13 rating does give me hope for a eventual fight with Spider-man. Trust me THAT will be awesome.
While it is a good thing that the Venom film is gonna be coming, there is a very big fear of it being a success. There are rumors floating around that if it becomes a success, Sony is moving with a whole universe of Spider-man based characters universe, only with no Spider-man. Yeah that is a stupid idea which I can’t even believe is in consideration.
Whatever reason I have given, I am probably still gonna go and watch it this week. I am pretty bored and it will be a good time at least.
