Did you know Phillip Glass scored a horror film? That’s right, the minimalist master behind Einstein on the Beach once teamed up with Clive Barker (Hellraiser) to scare audiences in a dark room. He added a new sound to a elevate a new icon in Candyman. This makes perfect sense since in order to summon him, you have to repeat “Candyman” six times which is a Phillip Glass kinda song. Now Phillip Glass’s score and the scares are coming to Blu-ray thanks to Scream Factory. Along with the theatrical version, Candyman: Collector’s Edition also features the unrated version with extra scares. This gut-wrenching thriller follows a graduate student whose research summons the spirit of the dead! When Helen Lyle hears about Candyman, a slave spirit with a hook hand who is said to haunt a notorious housing project, she thinks she has a new twist for her thesis.
