Rabblecast 546 – Gary Friedrich, Burt Reynolds, and some Movie Trivia

Gary Friedrich(aged 75), was an American comic book writer best known for his Silver Age stories for Marvel Comics’ Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos, and, in the following era, for the series The Monster of Frankenstein and for co-creating the supernatural motorcyclist the Ghost Rider and the supernatural hero the Son of Satan.

Burt Reynolds(aged 86), was an American actor, director and producer. He first rose to prominence starring in television series such as Gunsmoke, Hawk, and Dan August.

His breakout film role was as Lewis Medlock in Deliverance. Reynolds played the leading role in a number of subsequent box office hits, such as The Longest Yard, Smokey and the Bandit, Semi-Tough, Hooper, Smokey and the Bandit II, The Cannonball Run and The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
