Word is that the new match up between Trish Status and Lita versus Alexa Bliss and Mickie James was the plan all along.
Apparently Trish vs Alexa was announced early because WWE didn’t want to have to spoil the Bella Twins heel turn and subsequent title match for Nikki against Ronda Rousey. Instead WWE announced Trish’s return against RAW’s top heel to spark ticket sales for the all-women’s event.
