Batman Hunts Nightwing Shooter As Nightwing Adjusts To Radically Different New Life!

Nightwing was shot in the head by the KGBeast at the end of Batman #55 (full spoilers here). That storyline continues this week in Batman #57 and Nightwing’s new status quo continues to be revealed in this week in Nightwing #51.

Since press time, DC has released the previews for Batman #57 (spoilers here) and Nightwing #51 (spoilers here).

At press time, DC Comics has not yet released the teaser and preview pages, but we do have the solicitations.

      Batman #57
      (W) Tom King (A/CA) Tony S. Daniel

The KGBeast isn’t working alone. As the Cold War between Batman and the Russian killer heats up, Batman’s nose for mystery gets to twitching when he suspects there’s more to the KGBeast’s attacks than initially thought. Not only does this tie back to the court case Bruce Wayne sat on involving Mr. Freeze, there’s another villainous Gotham ghoul in play-but whom?

      Nightwing #51
      (W) Scott Lobdell (A) Garry Brown, Travis Moore (CA) Howard Porter
Don’t forget, this issue features an enhanced foil cover by Mike Perkins!

After the cataclysmic events of BATMAN #55, our hero doesn’t remember training to fight, being a member of the Bat family, or being a superhero…and he could not be more content. It’s his life, and he’s happy to just live it with new friends and a roof over his head (wherever that roof might be). So when Blüdhaven finds itself without a protector and a new group of vigilantes pick up the slack, Grayson is more than happy to yield any perceived responsibility to the people of the city. But as things start to spiral out of control, muscle memory kicks in…and he is startled to discover that he’s more than just a pretty face.
