Marvel Comics Stops Lying Labelling Second Print, Third Print Covers As Variant Covers?

I’ve been writing about Marvel’s misleading second print policy; basically Marvel lying on the cover of the calling them variant covers in more prominent lettering than the hidden second print or third print language.

An example of the shady practice can be seen in issues of the Avengers…

…repeatedly…

…as well as with Amazing Spider-Man…

….repeatedly.

Then Marvel tried to make both labels more prominent like with Uncanny X-Men’s Extermination #1.

Well, it looks like Marvel is FINALLY dumping variant cover totally from second prints and beyond. Check out The Life of Captain Marvel #3 second printing…

…the X-Men Black: Magneto #1 second print…

…and even the Amazing Spider-Man #1 third printing…

Congratulations Marvel for your new ethical approach to second print and other reprint labelling.
