DC Comics Universe and Titans #28 Spoilers follows.

Justice League’s Drowned Earth Plus Coping With Nightwing Shooting and Arsenal Death! Wally West Flash To Return In Heroes In Crisis #2?

We open with an explanation of the catalyst for the Drowned Earth x-over event…

…aliens have attacked Earth and want to submerge humanity.

Tempest, Aquaman’s former sidekick Aqualad, has rejoined the Titans to battle the threat and learns that Nightwing was shot in the head!

While Miss Martian is whisked away by Batman to rejoin the Justice League, Tempest proposed taking the fight to the aliens. The team agrees, but acknowledges that Nightwing may never return and they need to rethink how they approach situations as a result.

It appears Donna Troy goes by Troia again and she and Tempest commiserate about Roy Harper / Arsenal’s death in Heroes in Crisis #1 as well Nightwing being shot in the pages of Batman. No mention of the Wally West Flash, for the second month in a row, which has led to speculation he is really alive. Also, we learn Donna is keeping Roy’s death from the Titans for now.

This whole Wally West Flash situation reminds me of an early time in this series, in Titans #18, when the team greeted him when he seemingly returned from the dead.

Anyhow, back to Titans #28, the team meet encounters the invaded aliens’ tech on one of their space ships…

…and are attacked by one of the Big Bads…

…sending Tempest into the atmosphere hurling to Earth…

…while the rest of the team…

…desperately try to escape so they can regroup.

Heroes in Crisis #2 ships next week.

We should know more about the Wally West Flash then. Plus, Drowned Earth continues…

…involving the Justice League and Aquaman.
