Halloween has come and gone. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a little more fun talking about scary movies and the horror genre. But first, let us remember someone who worked in horror films that recently passed away.
James Karen(aged 94), was an American character actor of Broadway, film and television. Karen was best known for his roles in Poltergeist, The Return of the Living Dead, Invaders from Mars, and in The Pursuit of Happyness.
He appeared in commercials for Pathmark which earned his nickname “Mr. Pathmark”. He was nominated for a Saturn Award for his 1985 role in The Return of the Living Dead.
We also talk about the recent release of Halloween(2018 film), starring Jamie Lee Curtis, and its success at the box office. Beware, there are SPOILERS ahead as we talk about the history of the film franchise and the ending of the current film.
We also talk about other horror icons, franchises, and current film and TV projects.
