Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation Slices Blu-ray On Dec. 11

Disc Announcements, News

Very rarely do two Oscar winners get their early starring roles in the same low budget film yet that’s where Renée Zellweger (Cold Mountain) and Matthew McConaughey (Dallas Buyers Club) found themselves. They had both small parts in Dazed and Confused, but they would truly be dazed and confused in Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation. The film had a bumpy release. But as their stars rose, the movie found itself renting more and more. They’d never out run their Leatherface beginnings. Now Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation is getting the Collector’s Edition treatment from Scream Factory on December 11. Here’s the press release from Scream Factory:

Los Angeles, CA – If looks could kill, he wouldn’t need a chainsaw. “Leatherface” is BACK! Scream Factory proudly presents the fourth installment of the terrifying franchise Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Featuring fast-paced fun, standout stars and a horrific helping of the franchise’s own brand of gore, the “fourth Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie takes a comedic turn even more pronounced than the previous two combined!” (The Terror Trap)
