DC Comics Universe and Batman #60 Spoilers and Review follows.

Big Changes For Batman Lore With Commissioner James Gordon Plus The Flashpoint Connection?

The book opens with the three storylines set to play out: (1) Batcave moments between a captive Penguin and Alfred Pennyworth, (2) Batman on the hunt to prove Bane really runs Arkham Asylum and (3) Commissioner Gordon deciding what to do as Batman beats up criminals across Gotham to get them to spill on Bane.

Commissioner James Gordon has had enough of seeing what Batman is doing; he’s brutalized over 10 villains so far…

…so no more GCPD alliance with Batman. Good-bye iconic Bat Signal!

Batman returns to the Batcave to find darkness. No sign of the Penguin, but we do see an injured Alfred Pennyworth…

…with some presumably evoking the Flashpoint Batman, Bruce Wayne’s dad Thomas Wayne, hovering over them.

The Pulse:

We were the first to indicate “a” Flashpoint Batman was lurking (spoilers here), but all is likely not as it seems. Not a fan of swerves, but we’ll see next issue. Otherwise, strong character moments this issue and solid art. 6.5 out of 10.
