The book opens in the ruins of modern-day Krypton.
Hawkman plans to visit his past self when he was Krypton’s secret hero Catar-Ol. Turns out there may be a mega-weapon on Krypton that could help Hawkman stop the threat of the Deathbringers in modern-day.
So, he time-slips and meets his past self…
…as Krypton is about to die.
He learn that Catar-Old knows Jor-El and knows of his son Kal-El. It is also revealed that Catar-Ol taught Kara Zor-El; the modern-day Supergirl and cousin to Superman.
Catar-Ol reveals the history and majesty of Krypton to Hawkman Carter Hall through breathtaking images. Perhaps some reveal the future; will some of these characters pop up in modern day alongside some that already have like General Zod, Doomsday and Brainiac?
We also get a look at the weapon Hawkman is seeking, but…
…it’s an illusion. It was never completed.
