Yesterday Trailer Imagines A World Without The Beatles (Danny Boyle, Richard Curtis, Himesh Patel)

Media, Trailers

At one point in time The Beatles were considered bigger than the Almighty. But what if The Beatles and their songs never existed? Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire) and Richard Curtis (Love Actually) envision a world in which only Jack (newcomer Himesh Patel) remembers their songs. After a bike accident and a global blackout, Jack awakens to discover that nobody has ever heard of The Beatles. Type in “Beatles” on Google and you get a picture of an insect. As a struggling singer-songwriter Jack begins to strum his guitar and sing the songs of The Fab 5. The music industry takes notice and soon Jack becomes a music sensation. But will his newfound fame cause him to forget his childhood roots? We shall see when Universal opens Yesterday in theaters on June 28th.
