NASA’s Mars Exploration Rover Ends Mission In Touching Fashion & Tributes Pour In!

The 16 year mission of NASA’s Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity ended on February 13, 2019 according to NASA. The Rover’s final “words” were touching: “My battery is low and it’s getting dark.”

Tributes poured in over social media including twitter.

That included one by iconic artist Bill Sienkiewicz with iconic pop culture Mars denizens sending off Opportunity.
