The Manitou & Superstition Appear On Blu-ray In April

William Girdler was a director who understood how to make movies that would grab an audience at the less appreciated theaters around the country. He had hits with Abby, Grizzly and Pam Grier’s Sheba, Baby. While things were looking great, Gridler would not live to see the opening of his most successful film in 1978. In January, he’d die in a helicopter wreck while scouting in the Philippines. April would see the opening of The Manitou which starred Hollywood legend Tony Curtis. Now this supernatural tales is coming out on Blu-ray from Shout! Factory. Also getting he upgrade is Superstition, an ’80s film about a priest and a cop on the trail of Satan’s daughter. The film was banned in Great Britain as part of the Video Nasties list. Now you can enjoy what Thatcher didn’t want the kids in London to see! Here’s the press release from Scream Factory with a list of bonus features:

Starring Tony Curtis, Michael Ansara, Susan Strasberg,
Stella Stevens, Burgess Meredith, Jon Cedar, and Ann Sothern
