Princess Mononoke Collector’s Edition Blooms In May

Princess Mononoke became a huge hit around the globe when it came out in 1997. Now the film is coming out as part of a collector’s set that will include a CD of the soundtrack and a picture book from GKIDsS and Shout! Factory. The movie proved to be a bit more intense than the Disney’s Hercules that came out at the same time. Princess Mononoke was a tale of the environment and a female character taking the lead which has led to it growing in appreciation over the years. The boxset arrives on May 14. The limited-edition set comes housed in an elegant hard slipcase and includes a new 40-page book with stunning art and essays.
