Arn Anderson Said To Be Unaware Alicia Fox Was Intoxicated While Performing

Rumors

411Mania (via Wrestling Observer Radio) reports that the common belief backstage is that Arn Anderson wasn’t aware that Alicia Fox was intoxicated on the night that resulted in him being released from the company. Anderson was released on February 22, after 18 years with WWE.

“In the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that the belief backstage is that Anderson didn’t actually know that Fox was intoxicated prior to letting her wrestle at the live event. He confirmed previous reports that many of the talent backstage have sided with Anderson after his firing. He said that according to people “in the midst of it, ‘Arn did nothing wrong.’”

The belief is that Fox was no different than usual, so there was no reason Anderson wouldn’t have noticed that she was under the influence of anything. Since Anderson was on “thin ice for a long time” and John Cena wasn’t there, that is what likely led to his firing. It’s possible that if Cena were there, Anderson wouldn’t have been fired.”
