Have I talked enough about how much I love Outer Darkness? I think it’s the best series being published right now, and I can’t wait to get into this week’s issue. Basically, this is Star Trek, if everyone was a complete a-hole, and if technology and dark magic were married. It’s brilliant!

  • I’m also looking forward to:
  • Aliens Resurrection
  • Infinite Dark
  • Invaders
  • Life and Death of Toyo Harada
  • Livewire
  • Low
  • Oblivion Song
  • Winter Soldier
  • X-Force

  • Scooby Apocalypse #36 – Three years after it starts, Scooby Apocalypse comes to an end. This was a real wild ride, and I am not quite ready for it to come to an end. This also means that for the first time in several years, there are no DC/Hanna-Barbera books on the shelf. Hopefully we will get something new announced soon.
  • Symbiote Spider-Man #1 – Peter David writing a flashback Spider-Man series set during his time with the black costume? Yes, please!
  • Orphan Age #1 – Not the most original idea from Aftershock. All the adults in the world die, and kids have to remake society. But I really liked Ted Anderson’s work on Moth and Whisper, so I will give this series a shot.
  • Winter Soldier #5 – This has been a great spotlight miniseries for Bucky Barnes. He has basically adopted a former assassin as his ward as a way to try to make amends for the sins of his past. I’ve really enjoyed the story and characters in this one. Wasn’t sure what to expect from this book, but it’s been terrific.
  • Batman #68 – I sometimes feel like I am missing the boat on Tom King’s Batman. Everyone talked about issue 67 like it was the greatest comic they ever read, and I absolutely hated it. So much so that I am still not sure I will be picking up Batman 68. Everyone’s taste is different, and I usually love Tom King, but his Batman just feels drawn out and unappealing. I keep waiting for some epiphany that I am missing, but so far, nothing.
