While this disaster film is star studded and featured major Los Angeles landmarks being shaken apart, as a kid the character that really stole the show was the grocery store clerk who was picked on by society played by Gortner. After the big earthquake, this guy gets dressed up in his National Guard uniform and gets a bit of revenge. Little did I know that Gortner was a former child preacher whose life was turned in the Oscar winning documentary Marjoe. All that mattered was he was the most compelling character crawling from the wreckage. Now you can experience Marjoe in high definition when Earthquake joins the Shout Select line on May 21.
