The current trend in Hollywood is to find material that they can turn into movie franchises. Marvel and DC comics have been fertile ground for years. Marvel in particular has been fortunate enough to have the Marvel Cinematic Universe work so well.
Which brings us to part of our conversation, interpretations. The Marvel characters on the “big screen” are not necessarily faithful interpretations of the characters from the comic book pages. Some liberties are taken to change or update some characters or storylines. Some work. While others might lose sight of the original subject material.
