Frankenstein Created Woman Rises On Blu-ray In June

Disc Announcements, News

Universal had made Frankenstein synomous with Frankenstein’s Monster during their classic horror era. When Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, the fine doctor was no where to be found. When Hammer Films turned Mary Shelley’s novel into a franchise, the didn’t make the same identification mistake. Peter Cushing was Dr. Frankenstein and Christopher Lee was the monster. All of their Frankenstein films featured Peter Cushing (Star Wars) as Dr. Frankenstein with a different monster for each installment. Cushing played the medical man as a genius who keeps one step ahead of the law while pushing his experiments to create life after death. Frankenstein Created Woman was the fourth installment in the series. This one has Dr. Frankenstein transplant the soul of a wrongly convicted man into the body of his dead girlfriend. His new creation is out for revenge. Now Scream Factory is coming out with Frankenstein Created Woman: Collector’s Edition on June 11. Among the bonus features are two episodes of World of Hammer about Cushing and the Frankenstein series. Here is the press release from Scream Factory with all the bonus features:
