Video games never comes off as nearly nightmarish when they get adapted by Hollywood. Half the time they have to tone aspects down to get the right rating or appeal to the audience. They can’t have it just like the real game since they can’t roll the end credits after a minute when the player gets its head chewed off. Luckily Silent Hill is able to maintain it’s creep factor when it came to the big screen. It’s got just enough action leaping out of the shadows to make you jump from your seat and start smashing buttons on your imaginary game controller. The movie is getting a major upgrade with the arrival of Silent Hill: Collector’s Edition in July.
