The Pulse:
At least two interior apencillers in the book, but the whole thing – this whole arc actually – may well be some kind of fever dream or something else. Despite the action, drama and pathos of the issue, many key scenes ring untrue or hollow. That has more to do with the context had by a comics reader of many decades though. Solely looking at what’s in this book from first page to last page, the art is breathtaking and story is compelling and pulls you in. 9 out of 10.
