Marvel Comics Universe and Absolute Carnage: Miles Morales #1 Spoilers and Review follows.

Adjectiveless Spider-Man, Scorpion, Venom and More…

…Caught In Carnage’s Web?!

A battle between Spider-Man and Scorpion is broken up by Carnage’s acolytes…

…and Spidey sees the grendel spiral on their heads and realize they are people being controlled.

Scorpion just wants to protect himself by whatever means necessary and…

…Carnage enters the fray after both Scorpion and Spider-Man, but…

…Venom saves Scorpion leaving…

…Spider-Man in Carnage’s clutches…

…quite literally as also seen in this week’s Absolute Carnage #2 (full spoilers here).

The variant cover image released on new comic book day literally and not a day before seems to imply that Miles Morales is now the Doppelganger Spider-Man seen in this week’s Absolute Carnage: Lethal Protectors #1 (full spoilers here)?

As an aside, not to be left out, this week’s Venom #17 had the return of the lovingly referred to as “Avocado” symbiote (full spoilers here) from Venom: First Host. Is he/it a friend or foe?

The Pulse:

Lots of action in this issue, but it seemed to stretch too long considered other books with these scenes took up a lot less pages and panels. Good story, but poor spacing. Ok art. 5 out of 10.
