DC Comics Universe and Batgirl #38 Spoilers and Review follows.

All About Oracle?! First DC Book With More Than…

…A Few Pages For DC’s Year Of The Villain!

I don’t watch the DC Super-Hero Girls animated series, but was surprised their Orcale is purple vs. the typical comic book green. So, I included that image up top, but fear not as this issue as your classic look Oracle. She’s not Barbara Gordon though; in fact she has Barbara Gordon in her crosshairs by the end.

Most of DC Comics’ Year of the Villain books so far have been criticized for having so little DC’s Year of the Villain content.

Most books have 2-3 pages featuring the villain who…

…received Apex Lex Luthor’s Dark Gift.

Batgirl is different as it features…

…ten pages of Oracle.

She’s a new villain who is not…

…a Barbara Gordon alter ego.

In fact Barbara Gordon has clearly had better days in this issue…

…and it’s only going to get worse for her now that…

…Barbara Gordon and Batgirl are one in the same!

The Pulse:

Great art and compelling story. If this is the only Batgirl book you read, I’m sure you’ll want to pick up the next issue. Awesome read and a very different Batgirl and Barbara Gordon than readers are used to. The mystery of Oracle also draws readers in. A great outing this month. 9 out of 10.
