Marvel Comics Universe and Deadpool Vs. Absolute Carnage #1 Spoilers and Review follows.

Why Is The Merc With The Mouth Carnage’s…

…Ultimate Target and “Unicorn”?

The Amazing Spider-Man believes that Deadpool needs to someone to help him with his mental health.

He recommends John Jameson at Ravencroft.

However, John Jameson is also Marvel’s Man-Wold who has been Carnage’d and along with a new Doppelganger literally worships Carnage as a god.

Deadpool stumbles on all this and finds it humors until he doesn’t.

Carnage wants to take out Jameson over all this until…

…he remembers that Deadpool was able to harness four symbiotes simultaneously in the past.

That happened in 2014’s Deadpool vs. Carnage limited series…

…which is available in a collected form; I didn’t read that mini-series, but I assume the four symbiotes were the Life Foundation ones who are also featured prominently in Absolute Carnage.

That makes Wade Wilson and its spinal fluid a big 2019 target for Carnage!

The Pulse:

A pulse-pounding issue with lots of action and usual Deadpool silliness. The Absolute Carnage overlay is interesting and the art is appropriately frenetic. 8 out of 10.
