SFSX sounds like it might be amusing, so I’m going to be grabbing that this week.

I’m also looking forward to new issues of Aliens: Rescue, Black Panther, Black Science, Captain America, Criminal, Deadly Class, Powers of X, Star Wars: Target Vader, and White Trees.

I’m not too sure about this New Mutants special by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz. You can’t go home again…

Strikeforce #1 – I have a comic reading problem I call the Thunderbolts Effect. Whenever Marvel or DC release a book that I don’t quite understand who they are marketing it towards, I will likely pick it up. I just assume we are going to get some big massive twist like we did in Thunderbolts #1. This has failed me time and time again…and I am expecting the same for Strikeforce. There is nothing particularly wrong with this book, it just seems like a random bunch of characters teaming together that I can’t see who the audience is. Blade, Angela, Spider-Woman, Wiccan, the Winter Soldier, Monica Rambeau and Daimon Hellstrom. Did someone have a random name generator?

New Mutants War Children #1 – I have been enjoying these random one shots with old school creative teams to celebrate Marvel’s 80th Anniversary. I am a huge New Mutants fan, so seeing Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz back together on New Mutants seems tailor made for me.

Bloodshot #1 – Bloodshot has been relaunched so many times, you would think it’s a Marvel book. But he has long been my favorite Valiant character, so I am always happy to have new Bloodshot to read no matter what.
