The Pulse:
This felt like two issues in one. The first half of the book seems inconsequential for those who aren’t reading the ongoing Immortal Hulk. If you’re picking this up as your fan of Absolute Carnage well the second half isn’t much better. Despite the confusion that two of the gorgeous variant covers included above cause, there is no war by Venom and Carnage over the Immortal Hulk. Readers know from Absolute Carnage #3 (full spoilers here) from a few weeks ago that it is the Venom symbiote that borrows the Hulk for the fight to come. And, that is how this one-shot today, weeks after the debut the Immortal Venom Hulk, ends. Sad. 2 out of 10.
