NECA Acquires Loot Crate, Announces Loot Launcher Crowd Sourcing Program

Last week it was announced that NECA acquired Loot Crate, taking them out of bankruptcy. Part of taking over Loot Crate, NECA has announced the Loot Launcher program. This will be a series of different crowd sourcing events that NECA will use to get more of their figures out! They start off the program with 2 different campaigns with exclusive items.

TMNT Spirit of Splinter Crate:
This will include a 6″ Spirit of Splinter action figure from the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as a LED campfire base. This will be in a full crate with a variaty of other TMNT items, including a T-Shirt.

“Dress Up & Play” Gremlin Action Figure:
This will include a 6″ scale Gremlin figure with 2 different outfits. The Flasher Trench coat outfit, and the Flashdance work out outfit. It will also include a bunch of accessories, including a Poker Chip Pile, Bow Tie, Visor, Mallet, Hand Puppet, Fedora, bonus interchangeable hands, Sunglasses, Frosty Mug, Cigarettes, and Playing Cards

Both campaigns are looking for 3,000 backers to get going, and the TMNT one is off to a great start with over 1,100 already signed up. The Gremlins figure has not been as lucky, and as of this article, only has just over 200 backers.

There are also Loot Launcher campaigns set up for some WizKids & Kidrobot items. Check out the Loot Launcher page to see what is all available!

I like Comics, Wrestling, Super Mario Bros & Dead Space. Oh ya, and Scott Pilgrim.
