DC Comics Universe &and DC’s Year Of The Villain: Black Adam #1 Spoilers and Review follows.

Can He Rival The Secret Six’s New Infected KING Shazam?!

Black Adam comes off like a benevolent and contemplative leader of his Middle Eastern country Kahndaq, but the dictatorial tranquility is broken up by and invader…

…the Infected King of Shazam of the Batman Who Laughs’ Secret Six; a corrupted Billy Batson.

A battle ensues…

…there’s some jibber jabber…

…and the first point goes to Shazam!

He follows Black Adam’s body…

…to where it lands in the desert and Shazam notes that he gives that magical word meaning; without him its just a word.

Interestingly for 2019 where science seems to more and more overshadows faith of any kind, and all religions are seen as populated by simpletons by the atheist elites (granted not all religions are practiced with the same zealotry and some are quite tranquil and non invasive to non-believers), to my surprise…

…the power of prayer is subdues the Infected King Shazam! The power of the people of Kahndaq!

The prayer forces Shazam to turn back to Billy Batson and Black Adam threatens him; he must leave his country or if he returns he leaves in a bodybag!

And, to my surprise, Batson changes into Shazam and… flees!

The Pulse:

An interesting issue whose story is the star of the show. The interior art was ok, but the cover was amazing. 7 out of 10.
