DC’s Year Of The Villain Sees Batman Who Laughs Get A Former Captain Marvel Into Secret Six?!
An infected Billy Batson is done with his family…
…and as King Shazam is off to find a new more worthy family.
First, he finds and defeats Atlas; so he’s not worth.
Second, after failing to find Hercules, he finds and defeats Thor; so he’s not worth.
Third, he finds and defeats Rao; so he’s not worth.
Fourth, he finds and defeats Ares; so he’s not worth.
He then maims his sister…
…as he marches to Hell Arisen!
The Pulse:
While I’m a huge Shazam fan, I don’t necessarily like “Shazam” being his nom de guerre now instead of Captain Marvel, but I understand the non-comics reason DC did that. Anyhow, this was a decent issue with drama and lots of action across pantheons. An emotional cliffhanger. Entertaining. 7.5 out of 10.
