Finally a smaller week after the madness of the last few.

I’m looking forward to getting new issues of Captain America, Farmhand, Immortal Hulk, Once & Future, Outer Darkness, Rai, SFSX, Star Wars, and Vampirella.

I decided to give Marauders one more chance to impress me, but I think I’m going to pass on Excalibur, unless it looks great on the shelf.

  • 2099 Alpha #1 and Fantastic Four 2099 #1– Just as Absolute Carnage is coming to an end, Marvel pivots to their next (albeit smaller) crossover 2099. I was a huge 2099 fan back in the day. I actually still have basically every single issue and series as print copies. The teases seem to respect the history of 2099 while adding some fun new twists like Conan 2099. I kind of hope this does lead to the return of 2099 on a bigger capacity.
  • Annihilation Scourge Alpha #1 – I had kind of forgotten that they were doing an Annihilation “event” as well. I don’t mind these more self-contained mini events they have been doing lately. It makes it easier for the average reader to skip them if they so choose. I loved Annihilation back in the day, but not sure it can be the same without DnA on board.
  • Deadpool #1 – I am usually not a big Deadpool guy, but I do like how Kelly Thompson wrote him in Mr and Mrs X, so I will definitely give this a look. Don’t know how long I will stick around, but I will give it a fair shot at least.
  • Question The Deaths Of Vic Sage #1 – Question is a character that’s always interested me. Been a while since he’s had his own series. Not really sure what his current status is in the DCU other that he’s alive again.
  • He-Man And The Masters Of The Multiverse #1 – Not even sure what this is, but He-Man will always hold a special place in my heart. I did enjoy the recent DC crossover with He-Man, so they seem to have a good sense of what to do with the characters at least.
  • Archie And Friends Travel – I enjoy this new books in the old school Archie style. They are just fun, wholesome comics. I had enjoyed the Archie reboot for a bit, but I keep finding myself drifting more towards more classic Archie again.
  • Teen Titans #35 – The last two issues of Teen Titans were huge shake ups for the team. Very well setup twists that I didn’t see coming at all. Real curious where the team goes from here, but I always love when a book climbs from the middle right to the top of my read list through sheer force of will.
