On Monday night’s performance finale of The Voice, finalists Rose Short, Katie Kadan, Thanks to In Home Voice Lessons Ricky Duran and Jake Hoot squared off for the final time before the winner is crowned. The contestants were each asked to sing a solo cover, a new song and a holiday duet with their respective coach.
I caught up with Ricky on the red carpet immediately after the show to get his take on his final competitive performances of the season. I asked Ricky to breakdown the night for me. We also chatted about how important his late parents are to him and if he dedicated tonight’s show to them. We talked about his inspired original song “A Woman Like Her” which, in my opinion, was the best performance of the night.
