  • Bang! – I like Matt Kindt, and Wilfredo Torres, so I figured this is safe bet. I always like Kindt’s stuff when he draws it himself, but Torres is a great artist, and this will probably be interesting (I don’t actually know what it’s about).
  • Wolverine – Do we really need another Wolverine solo book? Am I the only one who thinks that it’s still way too soon, even though it’s been a few years? I’ve liked, for the most part, what Ben Percy has been doing in X-Force, so I figure I’ll give this a shot, but I don’t exactly have the greatest of expectations. I believe that Logan is still too damaged from years of overuse, and now that his history has been exposed, not holding as much story potential as he once did. I’d be happy to be proven wrong, however.
  • I’m also looking forward to new issues of Captain America, Daredevil, Deadly Class, Family Tree, Guardians of the Galaxy, Legion of Super-Heroes, Marauders, New Mutants, Oblivion Song, Old Guard: Force Multiplied, Skulldigger + Skeleton Boy, Undiscovered Country, Valkyrie: Jane Foster, Vampirella, and Wonder Woman: Dead Earth.

  • DCeased Unkillables #1 – A follow up to Tim Taylor’s version of “DC Zombies” this time featuring the Suicide Squad. Tim has a terrific way with alternate reality stories, so I am glad we’re getting to see a little more of this one.
  • Legion of Super-Heroes #4 – This issue is supposed to tell us the origin of this new version of the LOSH. Bendis has been having a lot of fun with this series, and it is easily my favorite DC book most months. Long Live the Legion!
  • Conan The Barbarian #13 – New arc starting under Jim Zub! I loved the first twelve issues of this series. I usually like Jim Zub’s work, but I did think Conan: Serpent War was really dull. Hopefully he can course correct a bit and give us the same great Conan stories we’ve been getting from Marvel the last year or so.
  • Wolverine #1 – I like Ben Percy, so I am giving this series a shot. That said, I thought Laura and Old Man Logan were much more interesting to read about than normal Logan. I kind of would have preferred they leave him dead…. Hopefully Percy will prove me wrong.
  • Ghost-Spider #7 – Nothing specific to say about this issue other than I really love the world they have built. But yesterday my daughter asked us to get her a Spider-Gwen costume for her school’s superhero day next week, so clearly we are doing something right as parents.
