The new members of the Suicide Squad go rogue and kill the President they were tasked to save; Deadshot is caught in the middle not knowing what’s up, but keeping up the ruse with Lok..

New boss Lok, having replaced Amanda Waller, punishes Suicide Squad Team B as…

…Suicide Squad Team A listens; Harley Quinn is seen as part of the establishment by the team members on her squad.

Elsewhere, there is a bloodbath in the sea as a newbie seemingly kills a veteran Squad member.

Now they can communicate telecpahtically and they decide to bring Deadshot into their cabal revealing…

…that Task Force X is no longer what it was or what it seems.

They decide to complete the other part of their mission and execute the President that Lok’s wants killed.

However, they don’t do that either as…

…the President is the mom of a team member; she’ll need to feign death for now.

On the copter ride back, Deadshot is smartened up that Lok doesn’t work for the government and that the Suicide Squad has undergone a hostile takeover without the government knowing.

The book ends with Lok being conbfronted by the mysterious person pulling his strings…

…who punishes him because they President they wanted alive was kiled along with the other President (unknowingly alive).

The Pulse:

A great issue on story and art. Feels fresh yet true to Suicide Squad tradition. Awesome. 9.5 out of 10.
