WWE Raw 3/30/20 – Mania Go-Home Show

News, Reviews, Top Story

We get a long AJ-Taker video package before Taker cuts a promo on Allen Jones since they’re getting real. He has his biker Taker accent and says AJ’s ass is writing checks his ass can’t cash, but he’s heard worse from better. Maybe 10-15 years ago, AJ didn’t want him – and he was right because he wanted to be in a small pond. He didn’t want to face guys like Booker T, Angle, or Edge. Well um… Taker says that he’s got more matches behind him than in front him, but he’ll make AJ pay for crossing the line bringing up Michelle. Michelle does the Faithbreaker better than AJ, and he’ll make sure AJ pays the price for insulting her. He then showcases a Rest in Peace graphic, which is more than little tone deaf.

Becky comes back in her giant truck with Becky running down what happened last year in the main event and then she just cuts to it like an ’80s clip show. She’ll take her out at Mania and then Shayna chokes her out. Aleister Black destroys a jobber with the Black Mass and another tremendous sell ends it. KO and the Street Profits come out with Zelina saying she has access to NXT talent and that allowed her to bring in Angel Garza and now she’s got Austin Theory to team with Seth and Garza here. Montez goes for a crazy flip dive, but there’s no way Theory can catch him and he just splats on the floor. Stunner to Garza ends it before Seth stomps him to render the result meaningless. KO says that at Mania, he will burn it down.

An Edge-Orton video airs before Edge cuts a promo backstage in a dark room with his grey hair giving him a Logan-esque vibe. Edge says that Orton was jealous of him – but he wasn’t. He was jealous of his passion and you can’t fabricate passion and the only time Orton is “on” is when he’s around. Asuka destroys Kayden Carter and taps her with the Asuka Lock before dancing to her theme on commentary. Charlotte throws Rhea Ripley into a doorway at the PC before the show. Rey vs. Brock is shown from the Survivor Series, and boy does that feel like it was forever ago. It takes them a billion years to recap the card before Heyman talks about how special Drew is compared to the rest of the locker room – and it’s the best roster in history, but Drew is that special. BUT BROCK IS EVEN MORE SPECIAL and next week, Brock will still be standing here as champion.
