DC Comics Planning A New Batman Digital First Comic Book Series For Fans and Displaced Freelancers Due To Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic?

BC tabloid reports:

Bleeding Cool is getting word of a new Batman: Black & White comic book series being created by DC right now. I understand that a handful of DC Comics freelancers who may have found their other work for DC curtailed, delayed or postponed for whatever reason, have found themselves reassigned and decommissioned to this new digital-first comic book, planned to be published sooner rather than later. DC has continued to publish digital-first titles as planned, including The Batman Adventures Continue and Teen Titans Go.

Batman: Black and White was a 1996 series that has been collected in omnibus form by DC Comics this past January and described as such.

Presented in stark black and white, these tales delve into the darkest corners of Batman’s psyche, while pitting him against his greatest foes. With stories and art by a stellar lineup of comics talent including Neil Gaiman, Jim Lee and dozens of others, this title collects stories from Black and White #1-4, Batman: Black and White #1-6 and stories from Batman: Gotham Knights #1-49.

It also remains the name of a series of statues by DC Comics that continue to endure past 100 statues.

Interesting if it comes to pass; perhaps a win-win for fans and creators in these uncertain times?
