The Deer Hunter Arrives On 4K UHD On May 26

Disc Announcements, News

When The Deer Hunter arrived in the winter of 1978, the film became both a box office hit and award winning juggernaut. Even with a three hour running time, people were eager to see a film about the Vietnam War a few years after the fall of Saigon. The film was about three steelworking pals and hunting buddies in Pennsylvania (Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken, and John Savage) and how Vietnam changed them. Now the film has been upgraded to 4K UHD so you can truly take in the stunning cinematography from Vilmos Zsigmond. The Deer Hunter: Collector’s Edition arrives on May 26. Here’s the press release from Shout! Factory:
