Already Over $11K Past Its Goal In Under 24 Hours! 30 Days Left!

The campaign:

FragaBoom’s BLACK FLAG: Pineapple Perception Comic

The return of BLACK FLAG, protecting the Earth, One World at a Time.

For some it’s a sound effect, for me it’s a way of life! Comic books have been a part of my DNA since before I can remember. My favorite ones are those that embrace all of the things that make them uniquely COMICS: over-the-top action, beautiful idealized heroes, exaggerated situations, and really, really LOUD artwork. This is why I am insanely excited to be relaunching BLACK FLAG as a 48 page graphic novel! BLACK FLAG: PINEAPPLE PERCEPTION will be part one of a four part ODYSSEY that will take you into worlds, unimaginable.

My 30 year creative journey has brought me many opportunities as a comic book artist for MARVEL, DC, and IMAGE, as a storyboard artist for Blockbuster movies and TV shows, and as a director on THE RICKY GERVAIS SHOW, MONSTER HIGH, HOT WHEELS, and MAX STEEL. These awesome experiences have helped build my artistic and storytelling skill-sets to a place where I’m able to literally pull what’s in my head out and put it on paper for you to see! This brings me so much joy to be able to do this for you.

I created BLACK FLAG in 1994. It was my way to draw all of the things that make me happy: Absurdly large gun toting soldiers, sexy anime influenced ladies, magical multi-dimensional wizards, mega contorting aliens, super powered kids, and a giant Purple Gorilla! Who could ask for more?!

It’s been 25 years since this eclectic team has been in comics. Now more than ever, it’s time to bring the FragaBoom! back into comics.

The 48 Page color comic will be part one of a four part story that will blow your lid off!
The 1994 Archive ashcan is a replica of the ashcan offered at the 1994 San Diego Comic-con and features the black and white artwork and story featured in the Black Flag Preview Edition.

When your streets are overrun with cybernetic ninja gangsters and mutated beasts, when a cosmic brigade of Savage Aliens surrounds your planet, and when the supernatural underworld begins to take over the earth, there’s only one team you can call to help save the world: Black Flag. A band of unlikely heroes dedicated to stop all threats of evil, seen and unseen. A career soldier, a beautiful hardware tycoon, a shape- shifting refugee alien, a genius monster, an ancient mystic, and a magical 12-year-old boy.

      Black Flag:
Saving the earth, one world at a time.

      Heroes

Sniper: The Soldier. Little is known about Dalton Snipes, AKA Sniper. Even to his closest allies and team mates, he remains a mystery.

Geisha: The Tycoon. The daughter of the late Yoshi Imoto, former CEO of Imoto Tech. As heiress to her father’s estate, she uses her tremendous wealth to fund the Black Flag team and their hi-tech gear and headquarters.

Raiden: The Ancient. A master of the mystical arts, Raiden channels inter-dimensional pathways, harnessing the power of the Gem Pool of Granakata to witness events of the past present and future.

Guerrilla: The Monster Genius. The product of a series of shocking genetic experiments, Guerrilla was groomed to become a weapon of war by the vile E-Max laboratories before escaping and finding solace as a member of the Black Flag team. Able to recall everything read, seen, or heard, Guerrilla’s memory rivals that of the most sophisticated computer on the planet.

Spot: The Kid. Gifted with the uncanny ability to unlock the doorways separating imagination from reality, Spot materializes objects from his dreams and thoughts with a mere snap of the fingers. Innocently oblivious of his potential, Spot carries on with the freedom granted a twelve- year-old.

Rascal: The Alien. A shape-shifting revolutionary Refugee Alien seeking solace from the evil Grimalkin empire who has conquered and enslaved the people of his planet.

Shrine: The Sensei. Master of the martial arts and teacher to Sniper.
      Lucky: The Wildcard. Inter-Dimensional Repairman.

      Villains

Black Rain: Dark Creator. A cosmic entity whose power has yet to reach its limits.

E-Max: The Corporation. Experimenters in genetically modified species “for the good of mankind”.

Dojo Yama Clan: The Goons. A global “street level” band of cybernetic enhanced ninjas lead by the infamous Dojo Yama.

Dojo Yama: The Kingpin. Japanese lord of crime whose sole goal is global domination.

Grimalkin Aliens: The Savages. A species of Aliens who’s savagery knows no bounds.

Gillz: The Monster. An E-Max experiment gone wrong. Gillz lives and kills in the sewers of Dagger City.

Hellfyre: Pure Evil. The ruler of the underworld. If this world has a devil, Hellfyre is his name.

      Taglines:

      Rag Tag, they’re it.

      Unlikely? Likely.

      High or low, they’ll go.

      It’s about time.

      Unruly.

Here to save our world. All of them.

      Mythical, Mystical, Magical.
