Marvel Comics Teases Avengers / Fantastic Four: Empyre Event Series With New FREE Book!

Marvel will be releasing a free Empyre Magazine on July 1, 2020 spotlighting the new event.

Executive Editor Tom Brevoort describes the magazine as follows:

The Empyre preview magazine will give readers an advance inside look into Empyre and how it impacts on all of the different Marvel characters across the Universe—not just in the main series but also the assorted tie-in projects where the events of Empyre spill over into other titles.

Empyre preview magazine was produced before the world outside our windows went all weird, so you’ll find it contains some outdated information. While Mighty Marvel’s publishing plans may have changed due to this pandemic pause, this publication is still packed with useful information and behind-the-scenes insight that we wanted to share with our fantastic fans, so you can get in early on all the excitement of Empyre. And even though certain stories will no longer be tying in with the event – You never know, someday we may revisit these cool concepts and characters.

Empyre kicks off later in June 2020 with a #0 issue.

      In stores July 8, 2020

On top of Marvel’s June 2020 and July 2020 roughly 11 Empyre offerings, it looks like Empyre will conclude with 15 books in August 2020 and the remaining 15 titles in September 2020; so about 30 books with a pre-tax price point of around $140 over 2 months. The whole run will likely be over $200 pre-tax by the end.

Finally, above is the pre-pandemic Empyre checklist that needs an update; stay tuned.
