Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated Gang’s Velma Dinkley Is Gay In Both Live Action Film and In Animated Series!

Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated (2010-2013) animated series producer Tony Cervone confirmed on social media that the beloved animated series’ depiction of Velma Dinkley was as a gay woman despite the limitations of what could be shown on TV 10 years ago.

In response to some disgruntled fans of the series, he doubled down revealing Velma is bi-sexual.

James Gunn, well known as a writer and director, penned the 2002 Scooby Doo live-action film and his originally script had Velma Dinkley explicitly portrayed as gay.

Looks Warner Bros. does not want to touch this issue in their character at all. However, the creatives believe portraying Velma as gay would fit the character and send a powerful message. What say you?
