Marvel Comics Universe & X-Men #10 Spoilers & Review: Empyre Tie-In Teases A Connection Between Those Dawn Of X Mutant Flowers & The Cotati?!

Spoilers

Marvel Comics Universe and X-Men #10 Spoilers and Review follows.

Empyre Tie-In…

…Teases A Connection…

…Between Those Dawn Of X Mutant Flowers and…

…the Cotati?!

We open with a dramatis personae and a bit of a storyline recap.

We then have the Summers family status quo explained…

…they live on the moon and…

…have new neighbors the Cotati who…

…don’t like visitors.

Gabriel Summers aka Vulcan seems to be experimented on after somehow being subdued…

…triggering an explosion while he still tries to restrain his immense powers.

Petra and Sway come to get him and…

…they head home.

Vulcan’s brother Scott Summers aka Cyclops writes to him about a trip the rest of the family is on with Wolverine tagging along; this could be a tale set for the Empyre: X-Men mini-series, but will let you know when I read that later this week.

The book ends with the Cotati cursing Krakoa; what is the connection between the plant-based alien and the living island? Perhaps nothing, as seen on the moon? I was hoping for more of a definative connection being revealed; perhaps next month?

Next up is X-Men #12 out on August 26, 2020 and also an Empyre tie-in.

The Pulse:

A trippy issue with a showcase of one of my fave mutants Vulcan. Multi-layered story with decent art. Entertaining. 8 out of 10.
