Marvel Comics Universe and X-Factor #1 Spoilers and Review follows.

Macabre Mission Of New Dawn Of X / X-Men Team!

There are even more variant covers for the issue on top of the above.

Plus the main cover.

We open with a dramatis personae.

Then with Northstar who feels his twin sister Aurora has died as his husband looks on.

The Five need proof of death before they can consider resurrection.

No one is helping him, but Polaris, Magneto’s daughter, will.

They recruit a team and locate the motel Aurora stayed in last.

Their powers have limits, but…

…does the trick as they…

…eventually find her body in a submerged car in a waterway.

They take the proof to The Five.

The book ends with the Krakoan Council…

…authorizing the creation of X-Factor to find missing mutants with NorthStar as their leader.

They have a new HQ called the Boneyard and…

…apparently lots of mutants are missing?!

The Pulse:

An intriguing issue that felt like the story dragged on a bit; not sure it needed the over-sized issue to be relevant. Cast is cool as are The Five. Art was ok. 5.5 out of 10.
