WWE Icon James Kamala Harris Passes Way At 70! RIP.

WWE reports.

      Kamala passes away

WWE is saddened to learn that James Harris, known to WWE fans as Kamala, has passed away at age 70.

Under the frightening face paint of Kamala, the 6-foot-7, 380-pound Harris battled the greatest Superstars in sports-entertainment history, including Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker and Andre the Giant.

He terrorized opponents and thrilled audiences in Mid-South, World Class Championship Wrestling, WCW and WWE until 2006.

WWE extends its condolences to Harris’ family, friends and fans.

WWE also has a photo gallery tribute to Kamala here, a video highlight reel here and comments from WWE superstars on his passing here.

Kamala had some fun over recent years on social media on the word play of his real name, James Harris, by adding his WWE stage name Kamala in the middle, making him Kamala Harris, with an eye on the White House. A deliberate nod to Democratic Senator Kamala Harris from California a touted Vice Presidential pick by presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Kamala has been dealing with diabetes, a failing kidney and more health issues for years including having both his legs amputated. It is reported that he also recently contracted Covid-19 during a weekly dialysis treatment and that it caused his death.

On behalf of the IP team, I offer our condolences to the family, friends and fans of Kamala.
