Empyre Tie-In New Accuser Powered Captain Marvel Corps Gets To Work As…

…Cotati Threat To Earth Grows!

We open with Captain Marvel’s 1/2 sister explaining who she is to the Carol Corps and by extension readers.

Get a bit of foreshadowing that she may become the next Accuser.

She wishes the team the best, but thinks they’ll be killed over how the separated the Accuser’s hammer into four with Doctor Fate’s magic last issue.

They head into spaces and get…

…Emperor Hulkling’s blessing to use this corps…

…to find out who really decimated the world if not Lauri-Ell Captain Marvel’s sister…

…who it turns out is Wastrel!

They capture him, see what happened via the Accuser’s hammer which reveals the truth, and…

…his taken to alien prison.

Book ends with Lauri-Ell being confronted by the Cotati threat and signaling to the Carol Corps that she needs them.

Next up is Captain Marvel #21 out on September 9, 2020.

The Pulse:

An intriguing and fun issue. The mystery was solved too quickly and probably didn’t need the Carol Corps with her, but they will make cool action figures nonetheless. Looks like we get into the meat of the Empyre conflict next issue. Overall a fun issue. Decent art. 7 out of 10.
