Marvel Comics Universe and Empyre: Avengers #3 Spoilers and Review follows.

Finale Sees A Race Against Death and…

…Battles On Many Fronts!

The book opens with the origin story of…

…Ka-Zar and Shanna, then…

…we pivot to modern day and a battle with the Cotati in the Savage Land with Ka-Zar impaled in front of his son!

Elsewhere, a Defenders type team takes out the Cotati threat in New York City with a car!

In Mexico, an Avengers West Coast type team…

…defeats their Cotati threat.

Back in the Savage Land…

…magic revives Ka-Zar…

…as the dinosaurs and creatures of the Savage Land join the effort and the Cotati surrender and…

…are imprisoned.

The Pulse:

Battles on all fronts in a story that feels like it was a Ka-Zar one-shot. Ok art, but the story didn’t feel relevant to the overall Empyre story. Cool moment at the end though with the dinosaurs. 5.5 out of 10.
