DC Comics Universe & Justice League #52 Spoilers & Review: Does For The Man Who Has Everything Sequel Lead Into Dark Nights: Death Metal: Doom Metal Arc?

Spoilers

DC Comics Universe and Justice League #52 Spoilers and Review follows.

Does For The Man Who Has Everything Sequel Lead…

… Into Dark Nights: Death Metal: Doom Metal Arc?

The book begins on PLANET Black Mercy with the Justice League captured by the Black Mercy foliage and living out a fantasy in their heads.

Not surprisingly, Wonder Woman is the first to free to herself presumably due in part to her Lasso of Truth.

She’s frees the rest of the Justice League while Batman seems to snap out of it himself…

…culminating with the Justice League leaving the planet.

Back on Earth…

…Superman confides in Batman about his…

…first experience with the Black Mercy and his desire foe a family…

…indicating that his fantasy is real now because he does have a family.

So, no lead into Dark Nights: Death Metal; next up is Justice League #53, the launch of a six part Doom Metal arc, out on September 15 / 16, 2020.

The Pulse:

An interesting issue with decent art. Still an inventory story it seems whose purpose is to bide time before the beginning of the upcoming Death Metal related arc. 6 out of 10.
