James Fulton

  • This week I’m looking forward to new issues of Alienated, Ascender, Chu, Legion of Super-Heroes, Rogue Planet, Star Wars: Doc Aphra, That Texas Blood, X-Factor, and Year Zero.
  • I’m curious about the Department of Truth. I like James Tynion IV when he’s writing independent books (and not working with Scott Snyder), so I might give this a good look over when I get to the store.

Mike Maillaro

  • X-Ray Robot #2 – Mike Allred is one of the most complete comic creators I’ve ever experienced. I love his art, I love his writing on stuff like Madman and now X-Ray Robot. The first issue of this was great, and I’m glad we’re finally back on track here.
  • Locke And Key In Pale Battalions Go #2 – I loved that we got to see Keyhouse in a much different timeframe. This really helped expand the world of Locke and Key in a way I didn’t realize we really needed. Some really cool ideas in this one. I hope it means a lot more Locke and Key moving forward.
  • Giant-Size X-Men Tribute To Wein And Cockrum #1 – Pretty cool idea here. “Now, 37 of Marvel’s top artists come together to re-create this epic story, each re-drawing one pulse-pounding page in tribute to this Marvel masterpiece!” I love these jam books. The last two issues of Legion features a different artist on each page too, and when done well, it’s a fun way to experience a comic story.
  • Legion Of Super-Heroes #9 – MIKE GRELL DID A PAGE IN THIS BOOK!! Just felt it was important to mention that.
  • Batman Superman Annual #1
  • Batman Three Jokers #2 (Of 3)
  • Dark Nights Death Metal Multiverse’s End #1
  • Harley Quinn And The Birds Of Prey #3 (Of 4)
  • Justice League Annual #2
  • Boys Dear Becky #5
  • Star Trek Deep Space Nine Too Long A Sacrifice #3 (Of 4)
  • Usagi Yojimbo #13
  • Avengers #36
  • Falcon And Winter Soldier #3 (Of 5)
  • Fantastic Four #24
  • Savage Avengers #12
  • Star Wars Doctor Aphra #4
  • Strange Academy #3
  • X-Factor #4
