Patton Oswalt is giving everyone a treat during the first Saturday in November when he presents Patton Oswalt’s Six Pack movie marathon on Shout! Factory TV. He’s going to sit back with you and run a half dozen cult films that will keep you on the sofa for half a day. Things start of with Chopping Mall. This epic is about what happens when the mall from Fast Times at Ridegmont High gets taken over by killer security robots. Battle Beyond the Stars takes John Boy Walton into space! Shriek of the Mutilated is also known as Scream of the Snowbeast. Suburbia is a punk rock tale of runways squatting in Los Angeles. Eat My Dust is Ron Howard on a cross country chase. Finally there’s Q the Winged Serpent attacking Manhattan thanks to director Larry Cohen. It’s a fine collection of films for Patton Oswalt to share. You’ll need three tubs of popcorn to make it through the night. Here’s the press release from Shout! Factory:
Shout! Factory TV Presents PATTON OSWALT’S SIX PACK
Movie Marathon to Stream
Saturday, November 7
An all-day movie marathon featuring brand-new hosted segments
LOS ANGELES – October 13, 2020 – On November 7, Shout! Factory TV will proudly present Patton Oswalt’s Six Pack Movie Marathon, a 12-hour gauntlet of B-movies hand-selected by Oswalt, with hosted segments and interstitials from the film-buff comedian.
Patton Oswalt’s Six Pack consists of Chopping Mall, Battle Beyond the Stars, Shriek of the Mutilated, Suburbia, Eat My Dust and Q the Winged Serpent, featuring the best in B-movies that run the gamut from space opera to monster horror to punk rock pandemonium.
“It is true what you have heard about me. I am a cinephile, but don’t think for a moment that I am a film snob,” said Oswalt. “There’s always something in every film, whether it’s a single shot, a performance, a stunt—every film contains something that is worth the experience. Together, we will find redemption for all six of my selections…or die trying. See you at the screen of your choice. BYO treats and no smoking in the balcony, kids.”
Patton Oswalt’s Six Pack Movie Marathon begins Saturday, November 7 at 9 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET with an encore presentation Sunday, November 8 at 12 p.m. PT/3 p.m. ET. The livestream can be viewed on ShoutFactoryTV.com; Shout! Factory TV’s Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, and Android apps; and the following digital streaming platforms: Pluto TV, Twitch, Samsung TV Plus, Comcast Xfinity, Xumo, Vizio, Redbox, IMDb TV and STIRR. Versions of the broadcast will also be available for viewing on demand following the marathon on ShoutFactoryTV.com and its platforms.
A comedian, actor, and writer, Oswalt continues to find success in all areas of entertainment. From his award-winning comedy specials to his many memorable film roles and guest appearances on his favorite TV shows (including “Parks and Recreation,” for which he received a TV Critics Choice Award), Oswalt continues to choose work that inspires him and entertains audiences. He received an Emmy nomination this year for his latest Netflix special “I Love Everything” and currently stars as ‘Principal Durbin’ on the NBC Universal comedy “A.P. Bio,” produced by Seth Meyers, Mike O’Brien, and Lorne Michaels.
Oswalt also delivers all-new comedy in a one-hour live virtual event on Friday, October 23rd at 9:00pm ET/6:00pm PT, where fans can log on to the virtual platform On Location Live for his take on what’s happening today in the outside (and inside) world, and then stay for the after-party where they’ll be able to directly ask Oswalt for answers to their most burning questions. Patton Oswalt’s Six Pack Movie Marathon – Saturday, November 7th!
