Superman brought Synmar into the Phantom Zone to protect Earth and…
…during the battle Xa-Du emerges and…
…gets caught in the mix.
Later Superman again attempts to communicate with Synmar.
There is some limited succes with that, but Superman says he will free Synmar from the Phantom Zone as he’s not evil like Xa-Du.
More communications attempts to follow…
…leading Superman to following Synmar to his part of the cosmos…
…under an orange sun making Superman powerless.
Synmar can speak clearly in his solar system and tells Superman he’ll take him to his people and he accepts his surrender; something the powerless Superman didn’t do.
The Pulse:
Story is iffy, but Xa-Du’s return was fun and the art was amazing. 5 out of 10.
